It is with heartbreaking sadness that we announce that Sandra Patricia Jaimes, "Patty”, passed away in February 25 of 2022 at Orlando, Florida. Patty was born in 1967 in Bogota, Colombia to Samuel Dario and Alba Ruth Jaimes. Sandra Patricia was known by "Patty" to her family and "Sandra" by her friends and co-workers. Patty graduated from primary school at Colegio La Salle in Merida, Venezuela and completed her High School at Mario Briceno in Barquisimeto, Venezuela. In 1992, she moved to Puerto Rico, where she completed her bachelor’s degree at The Pontifical Catholic University in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and later achieved a Doctorate's Degree in Law. While studying in Puerto Rico, Patty married Raul Estape (Rauli), and their union was blessed with a daughter, Patricia Michelle, and a son, Raul Andres. In 2004, the family moved to Orlando, Florida, where Patty established a successful law firm where she practiced Immigration Law services. Patty was passionate about music. She enjoyed many hours with her family listening to various singers and bands; including her favorite artists such as the Greek-American composer Yanni and the German classical and crossover violinist David Garrett. She also followed many Latin singers such as, Luis Eduardo Aute, Joaquin Sabina, Estopa, Vicente Fernandez and many others. She was a rock fan from heart and was always dancing and singing throughout the house. She loved to listen to the music of American classic rock bands such as Eagles, Journey, Metallica, Queens, and many others. At the kitchen, no one could compete with her cooking lasagna, pasta or "ropa vieja". She was the Chef of the house and the heart of the family gatherings, her "guasacaca" was unique!! She was a family-oriented person and always took care of her family in Venezuela, maintaining a close relationship with them throughout the years. Patty was an ardent reader and was very well versed in politics and life in general. Patty loved to travel and spent unforgettable moments during her visits to Japan, England, Canada, Dubai and many other places. She also absolutely loved our pets including Darsey, Cyber, Delila, and Tiny Cat and kittens, which were considered family and were cherished and loved by all. Patty is preceded in death by her father, Samuel Dario Jaimes. Patty will continue to be honored and loved by her life sweetheart, Raul Estape, their children Patricia Michelle (Erik Meisel) and Raul Andres; mother, Alba Sandoval; sister, Xiomara Jaimes (husband, Osvaldo Cañas); sister, Alejandra Jaimes (husband, Francisco Bonilla); brother, Samuel Jaimes; Raul’s children , Juan Raul Estape (wife, Yara Alvarez), Raul Ricardo Estape (wife, Carolina Maya); Heidie Jo Estape (husband, Mario Ramos); sister in law, Estela Estape (husband, Shepherd Goodspeed); grandchildren, Yaed, Yandre, Mia, Mika, Nico, Ainhoa, Mario Alejandro, and Fernanda; cousins, Belkis, lsamar, Liset, Fabio, Loengri, Martha (Rafael), German, Gonzalo, and Harold; nieces and nephews, Sharee Wainwright, Allan Wainwright, Carolina Rojas (Liseth Santaella), Oriana Cañas (Johari Sanchez), Osvaldito Cañas, Javier Cañas (Jaseph De Jesus), Tomas Jaimes, and Mateo Jaimes; extended family, Haydee Perez, Maria Lopez and Fabio Mejia; and many other family and friends. A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church, 4301 S. Chickasaw Trail, Orlando, Florida, on Saturday March 19, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. We will always keep Patty alive in our hearts by allowing her to shine through us and carrying her legacy onward, forever honoring her and the values she represented; it is not a farewell, is just until we meet again!
