Amada madre, abuela y sierva de Dios. “El Señor es mi pastor; nada me faltará. En lugares de delicados pastos me hará descansar; junto a aguas de reposo me pastoreará. Confortará mi alma; me guiará por sendas de justicia por amor de su nombre.” - Salmo 23:1-3 Con corazones llenos de dolor, pero también de gratitud, anunciamos el fallecimiento de nuestra querida Maggie Camacho, de 62 años, residente de DeBary, Florida, el día 4 de julio del 2025 rodeada del amor de sus hijos y nietos. Criada en Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Maggie llevó siempre en alto sus raíces boricuas mientras construía una vida marcada por el amor, la fe y una fuerza serena que inspiraba a todos a su alrededor. Obtuvo su grado asociado en ciencias y dedicó cada día de su vida a cuidar y servir con amor—ya fuera a través de sus oraciones, de una comida compartida, palabras de aliento o incontables gestos de generosidad. En sus años de juventud, caminó con fe como esposa militar, criando a su familia con valentía y sacrificio en medio de los retos que conlleva el servicio a la patria. Más adelante, permaneció siempre cerca de sus hijos, entre Puerto Rico y Florida, asegurándose de estar presente en cada momento importante—siempre una luz, una guía y un apoyo constante para quienes más amaba. Fue una madre, abuela y cuidadora ejemplar, no solo para su familia, sino también para muchos otros que la llegaron a considerar una segunda madre. Los amigos de sus hijos buscaban en ella consejos de vida, guía espiritual y un amor incondicional que ofrecía sin reservas. Ya fuera reuniéndose con un amigo pastor para almorzar, celebrando las victorias de quienes amaba, o compartiendo su sabiduría por teléfono, Maggie se entregaba por completo a los demás con alegría y sinceridad. Fue también un pilar en la vida de sus nietos, especialmente durante los primeros años de maternidad de su hija. Hasta sus últimos meses, Maggie asumió con ternura, paciencia y risas el papel de cuidadora principal de sus nietos—una labor que llevó con amor y entrega. Le sobreviven su hija Stephanie, sus hijos Esteban y Michael, y sus nietos Barrett y Scarlett, junto a un gran círculo de familiares y amigos de toda la vida que la amaron profundamente. Fue confidente, consejera, y fortaleza constante en la vida de muchos. La fe de Maggie fue su roca. Su hogar era un refugio de paz, sus oraciones incesantes, y su confianza en Dios inquebrantable, aun en los momentos más difíciles. Vivió con gracia y dio con todo su corazón. Se llevará a cabo una Celebración de Vida en Good Life Funeral Home el 10 de Julio del 2025 en Orlando, Florida, donde Maggie pasó sus últimos días rodeada del amor de su familia. Posteriormente, regresará a Puerto Rico, donde será sepultada en el Cementerio Nacional de Puerto Rico en Morovis, cumpliendo así su deseo de descansar en la tierra que tanto amó. Su presencia nunca podrá ser reemplazada, pero su amor, su ejemplo y sus oraciones permanecerán para siempre con todos los que la conocieron. “He peleado la buena batalla, he acabado la carrera, he guardado la fe. He restores my soul; He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name’s sake.” — Psalm 23:1-3 With hearts full of sorrow yet overflowing with gratitude, we announce the passing of our beloved Maggie Camacho, 62, of DeBary, Florida, on July 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of her children and grandchildren. Raised in Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, Maggie held her Boricua roots close to her heart while building a life defined by love, faith, and a quiet strength that inspired all around her. She earned her Associate of Science degree and dedicated each day of her life to caring for and serving others—with her prayers, shared meals, words of encouragement, and countless acts of generosity. In her younger years, she walked faithfully as a military spouse, raising her family with courage and sacrifice through the unique challenges of military life. Later, she remained close to her children, dividing her time between Puerto Rico and Florida, ensuring she was present in every important moment—always a light, a guide, and a steady support for those she loved most. She was an exemplary mother, grandmother, and caregiver—not only for her family but also for many others who came to see her as a second mother. Her children’s friends turned to her for life advice, spiritual guidance, and the unconditional love she offered so freely. Whether meeting a pastor friend for lunch, celebrating the victories of those she loved, or sharing her wisdom over the phone, Maggie gave herself fully to others with joy and sincerity. She was also a pillar in the lives of her grandchildren, especially during her daughter’s early years of motherhood. Even in her final months, Maggie embraced the role of primary caregiver to her grandchildren with tenderness, patience, and laughter—a labor of love she carried out wholeheartedly. She is survived by her daughter Stephanie, her sons Esteban and Michael, and her grandchildren Barrett and Scarlett, along with a large circle of extended family and lifelong friends who loved her deeply. She was a confidante, a counselor, and a constant source of strength in the lives of many. Maggie’s faith was her rock. Her home was a refuge of peace, her prayers unceasing, and her trust in God unshakable, even in life’s hardest moments. She lived with grace and gave with her whole heart. Celebration of Life will be held at Good Life Funeral Home on July 10, 2025, in Orlando, Florida, where Maggie spent her final days surrounded by her family’s love. She will then return home to Puerto Rico to be laid to rest at the Puerto Rico National Cemetery in Morovis, fulfilling her wish to be buried in the land she loved so dearly. Her presence can never be replaced, but her love, her example, and her prayers will remain forever with all who knew her. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day.” — 2 Timothy 4:7-8
