Carol Lee Singleton, was the first born daughter to Bill and Bonnie (Rabold) Prather (Both deceased) born on October 13, 1937 in Miamisburg, Ohio. Carol had two beautiful sisters which she loved beyond measure, Bonnie “Suzy” Hertlein and Billye Kay Prather (deceased). Suzy is married to Clifton Hertlein and they gave Carol her only niece, Lisa and nephew, John. Carol graduated from Miamisburg High School where she enjoyed being a member of the Honor Society excelling in English and grammar. She also enjoyed and participated in drama. Carol’s love for acting is now inherited by her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Carol enjoyed seeing them in plays and she would always be the person clapping the loudest. She has one child, John William Kidwell, lovingly referred to as Johnny Bill and later on as John-o. Carol poured her heart and soul into loving him and being there to support him and his wife Cathy. One of her greatest joys was listening to John play guitar which she could also play herself. Carol traveled a lot in her lifetime finally coming to know Orlando, Florida as her home. Carol was an executive military secretary for 25 years. After her retirement she was content to sip tea and enjoy reflecting on memorable life moments or relax while watching old movies. Carol’s favorite times were spent visiting with family and friends. Carol was a very positive and witty person. She loved to give compliments and she always had a huge smile on her face. She felt most things in life could be handled with chocolate, Coca Cola and a prayer. Carol passed away peacefully on May 21, 2016 under the care of Hospice. Her final words for her family and friends were: She loves you and wants you to be happy. Carol is survived by: Her loving son: John W. Kidwell, (Cathy Kidwell) and children Shauna Kidwell Kyle Kidwell Kayla Kidwell Kimberly Lacy (Dennis Lacy) great grandchildren Payton Lacy and Parker Lacy Her precious sister: Bonnie “Suzy” Hertlein (Clifton D. Hertlein) and children John Hertlein (Annie McLaughlin) Lisa Hertlein Also survived by: Joshua Kidwell and Family Special Cousins Extended Families and Dear Friends To all who loved and helped care for Carol when she needed it most, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
